My Story

I developed multiple Auto Immune Diseases before I learned about Insurance.
I am almost UNINSURABLE now. No Life, Trauma or Income Protection.
Once you have a medical condition it becomes a pre-existing condition or injury and is usually excluded from cover.
For 10 years I worked part time with children to support, and rent to pay - on and off the sickness benefit.
How much did the sickness benefit pay?
$339.00 per week (with children), plus $105.00 per week Accommodation Supplement.
A total of $444.00 per week for all of us!
Rent was $280.00. Leaving $164.00 for household Insurances, Food, Petrol, Clothes, Electricity, Phone, School Fees and Stationery, Ballet, Karate, Kid’s Birthday Parties, Not to mention Christmas expenses...
Therefore, to me, this isn’t a job or a career. It’s a PASSION!

"I injured myself in an accident in November 2021. After my self selected 13 week stand down period Anita encouraged me to file a claim against my mortgage protection insurance. This was particularly easy as Anita provided me all the required forms and she sent everything off.
What followed was three months of almost no communication from the insurer, then an email saying they were looking at not paying my claim because of an exclusion on my policy for mental health.
